    Full Overview

Neobanks and tech giants have ripped up the banking rule book with the agile ways in which they are able to respond to changing consumer demands, evolving regulations, emerging risks and advances in innovation. In turn, they’re shaking up competition, growing their market share and capturing the attention of digitally savvy Gen Z consumers. And, as tech companies are acting more like financial companies, so financial companies are increasingly acting more like tech companies, using their infrastructure and platforms to move beyond the traditional by offering non-banking adjacencies such as billing and mobile phone services, by monetising data or by supplying a curated mix of internal and third-party offerings. As a result, the bank of 2030 will look quite different to what we have today as incumbents and new players move into ecosystems beyond the traditional core.

The technology and innovations that have the power to shape other aspects of our lives will also impact on the way we interact with our financial services providers. Innovations such as AI, VR and the metaverse are attracting attention, and leading thinkers in the banking world are assessing how they can capitalise on these – and other – developments while remaining nimble and competitive. At the heart of this transition is cloud computing, which is enabling finance firms to access advanced software applications to help them better integrate their business units, generate greater revenue, drive innovation, build resilient operations, improve scale to cut costs, increase customer insights, strengthen security, unleash new ways of working, and enhance how they provide their customers with products and services.

This timely webinar brought together financial services leaders and technology experts to examine the bank of the future, and how innovation and cloud-based technologies can be used to create and drive new opportunities in the digital finance world. It will explore how to engage key stakeholders in the cultural shift required for transformation and reveal how financial services firms can overcome the challenges involved in transitioning their data to cloud-based systems.
